A belated monthly recap:
April was another great month for me: I had a fab Easter weekend in London with Australian friends; I got my permanent residency through (yay!) and on the last day of the month I had a birthday that I got to celebrate with friends over scrummy ice cream.
I am loving running at the moment: I’m fitter and stronger than I have ever been in my life, I’m running longer distances and getting a little bit more adventurous with my routes (only a very little bit!) and as a consequence my times are improving. There have been gorgeous sunny runs that put me on top of the world and made the grey, drizzly runs feel not so bad after all. A few niggles appeared after some long runs but settled down with a couple of easier weeks, foam rolling and stretching.
- Mileage: 109.7 miles
- Longest Run: 13.4 miles
- parkruns: 3 (2x Victoria parkrun, plus Eglinton parkrun)
- Races: Great Edinburgh 10 mile race.
It is now less than 3 weeks until the Edinburgh Half Marathon, I’m on track and beginning to look forward to it (though still a little nervous about the logistics of getting there for an 8am start).
