Janathon Day 3 – Victoria parkrun

It was back to Victoria Park today for my 45th parkrun and 29th at Victoria. It was perfect running weather: chilly, sunny but not icy. After a few days of heavy rain there were a few water features to be negotiated, but nothing that couldn’t be managed with a few well timed leaps so my feet stayed dry.

My lurgy has still not passed completely so I started out easy, but was able to pick up the pace a bit towards the end. My time was far from my PB but at 30 minutes even it was a minute faster than Christmas Day at Pollok and two minutes faster than New Year’s Day at Tollcross. Hopefully the rest of the month will continue in that trend!

Running to and from the start with my friend, Nicky (who scored a massive PB on very limited training – so jealous) brought my run to 5 miles and rounded out a very pleasant Janathon Day 3 effort.

Now it’s back to the sofa with my hot water bottle and book 🙂

Running: 8.1 miles
